Hi. I am interested in finding out what the best deals are to take a 3-4 day Carnival Cruise from Long Beach, CA to Mexico. I went online to do research and it is overwhelming on how or where to find the best rates, perks, upgrades, discounts, time to travel.
So if someone out here is an experienced cruise ship traveler and knows how to get the best deals, could you please offer advice/links? Thanks for your helpCan Someone Offer Some Advice About Getting Best Deals on a Cruise Ship vacation?
Go to a travel agent and let them find a cruise that suits your requirements. You might even get a good deal, but they do all the work, finding the cruise.
Once you have your dates and a price, it is then a simple matter of looking on-line and seeing if you can find a better price.
If you can't find a better price, go back to the TA.Can Someone Offer Some Advice About Getting Best Deals on a Cruise Ship vacation?
I use ';Vacations to go'; as my cruise information center. They have almost tooo much info and great last minute offers for all the major cruise lines and all the destinations including nice cheap reposition cruises that have become much more popular in the past few years. The website is vtgmail@list.vacationstogo.com and I would recommend Laura at ext 7290 if you call their 800 number!!
Look beyond Carnival unless you have 10 kids in tow.. Also, I hear thru the grapevine that one of the large cruise lines has fallen on their sword recently given published reports over denied boarding to a very pregnant lady and her family, a policy that the line changed after the family had purchased their tickets. Allegedly, so the story goes, the cruise line did not notify them of the change in their rules and denied their boarding on the day of departure. Last TV report was that this line has refused to provide either a refund or allow the family to rebook for another date!! Nothing like some great publicity on how family friendly a cruise line is if this story is true when they are trying to fill their boats in a tight economy. So, make sure you know all the policies before you book.
Enjoy....
i noticed that cruises are cheaper at beginning or end of a cruise season. example is if the ship is on its way to alaska, the cheapest cruise fare would be at the beginning or at the end of that certain cruise ship's season for alaska. and of course, last minute cruise booking are always way cheaper, so it's best to subscribe for a vacations to go alert.
I would like to recommend

I know- all the info online is SO overwhelming. Would you like my travel agent's phone# and email address? She's SO helpful and works out of Austin, TX. I'd be happy to share it with you- and she can also get you an awesome deal and plan all the details for you at no extra cost.
