I need some advice if i should or shouldnt take birth control?

I would like to start taking birth control as a young teen but i am scared of some of the side affects. What do you guys think i should do? any advicee or expericances from birth control?I need some advice if i should or shouldnt take birth control?
You really need to sit down with your mom and have a conversation about this. You need to tell her WHY you want to be on it, and she'll be able to help you more than you think. After you talk to you mom about it then you should make an appointment to talk to your Dr. about it. They will be able to help you pick the right one for you.

Just make sure you understand that birth control isn't a free pass to have sex. I started taking birth control at 14 because I have very heavy extremely irregular periods. And for the record I didn't become sexually active until I was 19 and engaged to my now husband of almost 5 years.

If you DO decide to have sex make sure you still use condoms EVERY time!! Birth control isn't 100% effective, and it doesn't protect you against ANY STD's.I need some advice if i should or shouldnt take birth control?
If you plan or expect to have intercourse, you need to use SOME form of birth control.

If you are a young teen, BC pills may not be the best option, since they can affect your still-developing hormones. But this is something you will need to discuss with the doctor or clinician who would prescribe them for you. If he doctor and you do agree that the pill is a good method for you, and you have unpleasant side effects, there are many different types of pills, and you may need to find one that works best for you. Or you could opt for a non-hormonal method.

Whether or not you use the pill (or other hormonal methods) you DO need to be sure to use condoms as well. Every single time. From the moment his penis touches your vaginal area until after he ejaculates and pulls out.
The best thing would be to talk to your mom, but I know that this is not always really an option. The most important thing is that you do use birth control. Condoms are good for std prevention, but I would use another form of birth control as well. There are so many options for you. You can go to Planned Parenthood or a similair clinic and they will usually help you at no cost. There will sometimes be side effects from birth control but most of the low dose ones haven't given me any side effects. The most important thing is, that if you are having sex you NEED to protect yourself. If you contract a std or get pregnant you will wish that you had. Having a child or an abortion is a very painful experience and you really should protect yourself. If you are mature enough to have sex you should be mature enough to do this.
If you think the side effects of birth control (pills, I assume?) are scary, look at the list of side effects/complications of being pregnant!

Get a doctor to go over a couple different types of ';pills';, the side effects can vary greatly depending on what hormones are in them.

And remember, STD's aren't blocked by any birth control other than Condoms. '; the pill'; should be your backup to rubbers!

Sex should be fun for both of you, but you need to be smart. If he won't wrap it up, tell him to go home and F-himself!
What side effects are u scared of? There are several methods of b/c .. you can talk to your doctor the different options. Are you sexually active? A good thing about b/c (other than being a contraceptive) is that it makes your periods regular, and sort of keeps everything ';normal'; down there. It also helps prevent ovarian cysts. A bad thing about b/c is that if you miss a dose, you'll start your period and it will screw everything up until the next month. It also makes you have mood swings. Just ask your doc or mom.
If you don't want to get pregnant, then I think the side effects (which are usually rare) are worth the risk. No matter what you decide make sure you use condoms also. Birth control doesn't protect against STDs. Just remember any form of contraceptive is not 100% at protecting against pregnancy or STDs.
Birth control is full of hormones. Medical society says it is safe, although look at all of the side effects. If you are too young to have a baby or are not in the right situation the only birth control that is safe and you should use is abstinence.
cilest is a contraceptive but it makes me moody and depressed so i advise you against taking that one.. ! good idea to take them if you find a good one, they keep you safe
If you don't u are putting your own health at risk

there are some side effects

like gaining a little weight

there are other options of contraception though.

just don't do it unprotected there are alot of nasty diseases out there.
tell your BF to use condom , period.
