Hi, I want to know how to plan a daily schedule for my babysitting I need help on how to make one any advice?

I've gotten a little confused by the other answers, so maybe I'm reading your question wrong. But I think that you are trying to make a schedule for your babysitting business so that you have some sort of a plan laid out for the day (instead of just winging it) - or maybe trying to schedule different jobs on different days.

In either case, it may help to think about the schedule a couple of ways. The first is to have some sort of a planner - you can do this on paper, in a simple planner you can buy at a discount store (even a $1 store has these) or in an online tool (most email accounts, including Yahoo! have a calendar function that breaks into hours, days, weeks, etc).

Use your planner and start filling in the blanks. Getting things on paper or on screen really helps you see what you have going on. And it can help you figure out if you have enough activities planned. It will also prevent you scheduling jobs on top of one another.

Can I Have Some Really Good Advice Please?

Well, here is the deal.

My best friend is gorgeous, %26amp; all the guys who like her (It was to the point where 16 guys at my school liked her) but don't know her per tend to like me, to get closer to her. It has happened at least 20 times in the last year. (Honest to goodness)

All I'm asking for is some really good advice.

Thanks. Can I Have Some Really Good Advice Please?
I mean you can't just see through them like if there going to talk to you or they're trying to get with your best friend so you just have to really pay attention to them and their actions and don't fall in ';like'; with them easily there for its not going to be hard on you if you find out that they are using you. :) good luckCan I Have Some Really Good Advice Please?
Well it sounds like you are elected to be her protector.
dont fall for them nd keep her away

  • Take your financial and job hunting advice and shove it?

How many think job hunting advice and financial advice seems pretty stupid in this economy?Take your financial and job hunting advice and shove it?
The problem I have is that a high percentage of the job advice I'm receiving is to completely re-tool. In that I was in the home decor industry, and now I should look at getting a degree in Bio-feuls at age 33. Not that I'm not versatile, or smart enough, but I need a job now, even if it's 7-11, to pay for that re-tooling. So it's cool to be optimistic like KK above me, but there are ramifications that aren't taken into the glass half full theories in this situation.Take your financial and job hunting advice and shove it?
Not I. It can still be pretty useful despite the negatives in front of us. Some of us may have ideas that the asker probably didn't think. Every person's job and financial situation is different so advice is always a good thing even in the present economy.

    EDIT:

Marbo, I am giving a general statement here. Don't assume I am so optimistic that I don't see potential ramifications or consequences to certain situations. I am quite analytical in much of my approach towards jobs so I never just look at the positive without looking at the potential negative. When it comes down to it though, I prefer to be positive and make my decisions accordingly.

Why do women ask men what they think, and then complain we always give advice?

Don't they just want someone to agree with them, even if we think they are wrong? Why do women ask men what they think, and then complain we always give advice?
    Why do men?

I'm planning to get a bike once I get my Class 2B. Any advice on shopping for 1 and what would you recommend ?

I'm a Singaporean girl of about 170cm whose about to start on her bike lessons. Budget-wise, I'm not looking for something too expensive. Also, it wouldn't be first-hand as I kinda expect to fall a bit. It'll be used mainly for commutation. I'm looking for advices not only on what to get but also on what to look out for when getting a bike and any shops to recommend, anyone ?I'm planning to get a bike once I get my Class 2B. Any advice on shopping for 1 and what would you recommend ?
In Singapore you will need a scooter or small bike.

HOOray for the used bike idea, dents and dings are OK, You will fall over. Find or make a friend to check out the bike you pick, get good tires and brakes.Handle bars can be bent a little but should be perpendicular to the front forks, your friend will check this for you,

In America bikes depreciate quickly in value and settle on a relatively low price, buy the best bike at or near this price, ride it until you want another and sell it at the same price, essentially getting a year or 2 riding for maintenance fees.

Why should someone pay for finical advice when the broker is investing their money into mutual funds?

The broker is paid a commisision. Plus, the broker gets the fee for the advice. I have to pay internal investment management fee inside the mutual fund. It does not appear that the broker is managing the investment. Why should someone pay for finical advice when the broker is investing their money into mutual funds?
First of all there are more than 13000 mutual funds out there. How do you know which one is best for you? This is where the broker comes in. He/She will be able to filter through all of the different available funds and make a recommendation for you based on your risk tolerance level, investment time horizon, and overall suitability of the investment based on your investment needs. This is what you are paying for is the professional advice. The broker will be able to save you time by doing due diligence research on the type of fund and or funds that best meet your investment objective by looking at the past track record of the funds, morningstar rating, and internal cost of ownership of the funds. Of course past performance is not indicative of future results, however having a professional on your side can help you come to a more informed decision on deciding which fund best fits your individual needs.

As for the latter part of your question, I am a little confused.

Yes , brokers do get paid a commission. This is how they earn a living. The broker has to spend time doing a detailed client profile on you, and then do the necessary research to find out which investments fit your needs best. This is what you are paying for..... the service. Sure you can go out and try to pick your own funds, many people do, some very successfully. However many people don't have the know how or want to invest the time to do this. This is where brokers/financial advisors come in.Why should someone pay for finical advice when the broker is investing their money into mutual funds?
There is no evidence that managed mutual funds outperform indexes ... no proven system of any kind to beat the market ... so any broker who says they know what fund will perform better than others or the market is either confused or lying ... they are selling snake oil.

they shouldnt! get some index funds....
I don't, I spend my free time researching stocks and funds before I buy anything. So does a financial advisor working for a broker. He may be more knowledgeable about his companies mutual funds but everything els is out there to research. If you don't want to spend the time researching and investing, you hire a financial advisor.
This is an excellent question. An average actively managed mutual fund has management fees and costs of roughly 1.5% year. These fees are withdrawn from the mutual fund by the managers - they reduce the net financial performance reported by the mutual fund. If you buy a fund like this through a broker, you might be charged an up front 2% sales commission, meaning that in year one, you have fees totalling 3.5%, and a fee of 1.5% for each year after year one.

Compare this to buying a no load index fund on your own - there would be no brokerage fee, and ongoing costs of about 0.25% per year (index funds have much lower costs, since they don't have to pay staff to research and make recommendations). In year one, you would be 3.25% ahead of buying a managed fund via a broker, and in each future year, you would be 1.25% ahead.

There is no objective proof that active management can consistently beat the market as a whole. This suggests index funds are the way to go. Why pay for active managers if there is no proof the performance is better?

Final note is that there are many indexes ... equity indexes, bond indexes, international and domestic indexes. You may want to invest in a variety of index funds to ensure strong diversification.
The advisor helps pick a suitable mutual fund. Believe it or not some 20-somethings think they should invest only in bonds and some middle income 60-somethings think they should only invest in international emerging stocks. People just don't know.

    It helped me out exponentially.
Its terrible that men can go on forever with this urge and us women have an end.

Figure out what used to arouse her before and try to get it for her, then apart from tidying the room up and making the bed,dim the light or turn them off completely-its a preference not to be seen for most women, put lovely music that she loves in the a very low volume, talk to her about the past, the first time u met, what did she really think of u, u tell her the same ( i hope u remember).

Or u can just tell her exactly what u have told us and talk it through till u find a solution that allows u two to have sex now and then.

    Watch porn if have to!

    Dont forget to use K-gel.

    Good luck!

I need and Intelligent and useful advice please?

I am a 36yrs old woman in a loving relationship the past 13 yrs with a wonderful man But lately i have been getting aroused by woman in porn movies. I have notice that i look at beautiful woman's breast. I Know that i am not a lesbian. I love my husbands D!#k! but why now all of a sudden an interest in woman?I need and Intelligent and useful advice please?
Maybe it's the mid 30's sexuality thing happening. I've heard that women's sexual desire when they're in their 30's can skyrocket and sometimes it can lead to thoughts not only about men but sex in general, even if it includes women. It doesn't mean you are actually gay or bi though.I need and Intelligent and useful advice please?
Do you want to act on your feelings?

Could you picture yourself sexually involved with a woman?

...Because I think that's an important distinction.

If you can appreciate the female form and enjoy looking at it, it's perfectly understandable.

It doesn't make you ';gay'; to enjoy looking at other women.

If you want to act on those impulses and engage in actual sexual activity with another woman, then it becomes something else.

    Maybe you're just bi-sexual.

Maybe you just need to accept the fact that you like the dudes AND the chicks.

It's become kind of a ';cool'; thing in society/popular culture for women to dig on other women.

Maybe you're just feeling a little societal push towards that end.
Women are beautiful to look at. The female body was made to be admired, especially ones that are beautiful to your eyes. Labels like ';Lesbian or Gay'; are just that ..Labels. The old argument was that folks were born that way. Well, we see that argument is now not true! How many ';gay'; men do you know that have been married to a woman and even have children? I can name 100's. If someone likes to have sex with men and woman, were they born bi sexual? I should say not. It's a total lie to try and get society to accept a behavior that is against everything that is designed to be between a married man and woman. If someone says anything different, than they are delusional. I also believe the same about having sex when someone is not married. The behavior is just as bad. They just don't want to accept the truth and love lies. The consequences are always the same. They love to be lied to and they hate the truth! Just wait and see the answers that these folks leave. They call loving people like me, hateful. I don't hate anyone. I only LOVE the truth... I have been where they are, but they haven't been where I am now! So don't judge without knowledge!
I know chicks who are turned on by watching women together but would never touch another woman in real life.

Seems well within the 'normal' range. Don't worry about it.

It's only a problem if you *want* to have sex with another woman, but are in a monogamous relationship.

Even then, your husband may be into it if this urge ever hits you, so even that wouldn't necessarily mean the end of the marriage, you know?

You seem overly worried about it. If you've never been into women before, chances are this is just something you like to watch and it'll never be anything more than that!

Watch it with your husband some time. Should kick things up a notch. Unless you know he's not into porn at all, then don't bother %26amp; keep it for yourself =o)
It's normal to find other women attracted. You might just want to try something new; that's life and we all go through it at one point or another. Take it from someone who has been there and still look at other women. I'm 29, a mother and married for 10 1/2 years. I LOVE my husband's D#@$ too and will NOT leave nor trade it in at all. But i find myself open to look at women too. I don't know why; it just happen, and trust me when i tell you i am not Gay (don't want to offend anyone).

Just hold you head up, don't be ashamed of your thoughts nor feelings, and keep looking until you decide what it is you want to do. But through all that I just said... PLEASE DO NOT BRING another CHICK INTO your MARRIAGE (your BED ROOM with YOU and YOUR HUSBAND)!!! then you are asking for trouble.
Porn is not reality by any stretch. It's all about fantasy. So, women in porno films don't really look like the rest of us. It can be really fascinating. And porn is made specifically to arouse.

I don't think it means you are interested in women. It just means you like looking at the ones in a porn movie. It's not like you are going to work and wanting to see what the women you work with look like naked.
We'll you might be bisexual. It can happen at anytime in life i think. Talk to your husband about how you feel and don't come to us because we can't help you much in this situation other than your spouse, its okay to watch it. But if you really love your husband do not divorce with him with a woman.

So as I said, talk to your spouse, its better than advices from us any day.
First of all, I think every woman has done something like that. second of all, if in fact you were a lesbian, you wouldn't be with your husband now would you? becasue you would have left him by now.

its just a random event, maybe you are just needing more ';love '; from your husband.

(i may only be 14 but trust me i know way more than you think)
Do not worry about it. you may be a bit bi-curious, and breasts are beautiful. It is natural to think that an individual's body is beautiful, especially when it is, and porno's are designed to elicit that reaction in people of both sexes.
Your curious, which by all means is normal within the human kind. Its our nature to wonder what it would be like in different situations. Now my advice to you would to tell your husband about this. Maybe you guys need to shake some things up!
i think you have to look deep in your heart, you may have feelings for a wider variety of people now.. but only you really know. so you have to really think about this
There is something missing in your relationship. You wouldn't be watching porn otherwise!
Just stop watching porn, there's the problem right there.

Try to fix your grammar and spelling instead, you'll come off much better that way.
Watch less porn and have more sex with your husband. Sex is not a spectator sport.
    people can be bisexual too...

It's not completely unheard of. Plus, your husband would love the extra company
Yikes! Boredom maybe? Try some new positions with him.
You might be bisexual. So what? It's not the end of the world.
man for being 36 ur grammar is really bad

  • I weigh about 340lbs and need to lose around 100lbs, what is the best advice to go about doing this?

I'm 6'3'; and I need to lose the weight for a girl I'm in love with, I need some serious help to lose this. I started to lose weight but only 15lbs in 6 months, now it seems like the weight won't drop anymore.I weigh about 340lbs and need to lose around 100lbs, what is the best advice to go about doing this?
Ok first, use this calculator to get an idea what you need calorie wise to lose weight and still do it healthy. http://www.vincedelmontefitness.com/comm鈥?/a>

Then you need to exercise if you dont already. Check out this workout its free and alot of people are doing very well with it.

    http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com/abs.html

Then you need to make sure and eat clean, no sugar, only eat wholegrain bread, eat lots of protein and fresh veggies. Fruit is good to obut better to do that right after a workout.I weigh about 340lbs and need to lose around 100lbs, what is the best advice to go about doing this?
You need to change your lifestyle. There are groups and organizations that can help. It sounds clich茅, but WeightWatchers really does help, but you have to commit yourself to it. Do light exercises like swimming or biking, your weight could damage your joints of you started running and jumping just now. I would refer you to your primary physician, he can help you create a diet and exercise plan and make sure you lose weight the healthy way. If you drop too much too quickly, you could shock your system and put the weight back on a few weeks later. Slowly and consistently, that's the way to do it. All the best.
Hey congrats on wanting to get into shape, but make sure that you do it for you also, and not just for someone else. First things first, you need to find out about how many calories that you need to consume everyday, because its different for everyone. You can see a nutritionist, or check around online. You can also calculate this yourself, by taking your BMR, or (basal metabolic rate). You can do this by taking your weight which you said is 340 and multiplying it by 10, so your BMR is 3400. SO if you go by that, you should eat 3400 calories a day. Then walk as much as possible! Buy a pedometer, believe me it makes a difference, and try to walk , AT LEAST, 10,000 steps a day. Eat slowly at every meal, this will help your body to digest properly, and allow it to regulate when you are really full, so you don't overeat, plus you really do enjoy your food more that way. Cut out all pop, there is nothing in it that's good for you, and its full of unnecessary calories! If you can stand to drink water, do so as much as possible. Of course its helpful to eat as many fruits and veggies that you can stand, and stay away from fried foods. You would be amazed at how many of those fried foods actually taste better baked! If you eat out, be aware of what you eat, and how many calories it has in it. Also try to limit eating fast food to only around once a week. Keep a food journal if you can with the calories throughout the day that way you know you don't go over. Mostly though, just try to stay active, even if its only for 10 minutes at a time. Every little bit of activity really does help. Hope this helps you in some way. Best of luck and God bless!
For a start, you need to reduce the amount of calories you eat and up the amount you burn.

If you eat 500 calories less and burn 500 calories more then you'll lose 2lbs a week easily.

I'd definately recommend seeing a doctor/nutritionist, they'll be able to access your diet and help you create a new plan.

Eating 3 meals a day with one snack in the afternoon will help you control your eating and starting exercise such as walking, swimming and running will provide you with a way to burn off calories.

Research ways to speed up your metabolism and see if there's any you could fit into your lifestyle.

    Good luck.
I have lost 40 lbs. in 3 months and I know this will work. Eat small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, eat your last meal 2-3 hours before you go to sleep. Do not starve yourself or your body will go into survival mode where anything you eat will be turned into FAT. This will help you a lot but if you want more results you can exercise 3-4 days a week, include weight training and especially cardio (walking especially running). If you set your mind to lose the weight you will lose it and when you start seeing how good you look you'll want to keep going.

    Good Luck
well don't try weight loss pills because they don't work, first work out almost every day but more importantly is DIET people don't get that its more about what you eat not how much you work out, don't eat low-fat stuff no matter what the media or anyone else says fat in foods doesn't make you fat, carbs make you fat. My uncle is a Professional in this and I worked along side him for a while. he went from 265 to 185 in one month I watch him do it no lies. This is exactly how he did it, counted everything that he ate and ate less than 35 carbs a day NO MORE, there are lots of food with no carbs, ie pepperoni and cheese, also NO EATING PAST 5 PM eating at night you don't burn off so eat dinner at like exactly 5 and don't eat at all after that no matter how hungry you are. he also worked out 5-6 days a week for an hour at a time and did cardio for half of it which helps a lot
dont lose weight for someone else. this is something that you have to want to do for yourself in order to succeed. have you tried getting advice from a medical professional? they can give you a diet and nutrition plan specifically for your needs. also, dont be afraid to try weight watchers i lost 40 pounds on it and kept it off for the past 3 years. they teach you all about portion control which is a big key to losing weight! good luck with this, i know its a hard thing to do.
With so much to loose, you should consult a nutritionist, because obviously , you are doing something wrong. I may not know what or how much, you should be eating.

Never loose weight for someone else !

    Do it for YOU !

It is your life, do you want to be able to enjoy it

or do you want to die early and have numerous health problems ?

Walk every day for at least 30 minutes and stop all junk food.
Limit your calories and try to eat whole (unprocessed) foods- stuff you would get out of the ground. Extra exercise would help as well. You probably don't want to lose the pounds very quickly because too fast isn't healthy. Check out www.sparkpeople.com My roommate used this site to lose weight last summer. Stick to the program they give you and good luck!
A healthier diet is the foundation of weight loss. Exercise will also help, but if your not getting the nutrition you need you could hurt yourself. It is good that you are wanting to lose weigth(even if it is because of a girl) but do it the healthy way.
If your weight loss has plateau'd you need to up your exercise. Also, try drinking more water, especially before meals.

When you eat, think about the food as fuel rather than just eating for the sake of it. A petrol car doesn't work on deisel...the same rule applies to our bodies. Eat the right type and amount of food, and you will see the results.
    okayyy

cardio. it burns the fat. crunches will just give you muscles that will grow under your fat. and you need to loose weight for a girl? i mean like i get a girl doesnt want a fat guy but if shell only like u if ur thin then its not worth loosing the weight for her because she wont like you for you . do it for yourself.
Eat half of the calories less than what you eat. So if you ate 3000 calories a day, reduce to eating 1500 calories a day. Stay away from eating foods with high carbs and exercise.

I'm guessing you can lose up 1-3 pounds a week with this plan
ok heres the question what are you doing for exersise?

best thing to do work out every day at least an hour, dont eat 2 helpings of ANYTHING, and dont skip meals

or you could try to get onto the ';Biggest Losser'; show (weight loss show)
you can burn 100 pounds of body fat in one year if you burn 2 pounds a week and that's a healthy amount to lose remember that one pound of fat is 3500 calories so ur going have to make sure u eat that much less a week
talk to ur doctor about the best diet to go on.. and primere fitness has personal trainers who can help u lose ur goal weight and more... its cheap and all u do is show up and be devoted to a healthy life.. i weighted 210 and now im at 156 in less than 5months
the band. i've seen it on commercials. its put in by surgery. then its all diet and exercise from there. try dieting and exercising first though. the band will give you an extra boost by limiting your food intake though.
    Do some serious yoga

    http://www.bukisa.com/articles/79894_how鈥?/a>
cardio, ab workouts and join the bigges loser campus thingy

\but if the girl actually loves you she shoulldnt care about how much you weigh
diet and run around a track 2 times every day and if you want do more laps (bring water)
u should try the good ol' fashioned way

    exercise and diet

    it always works
There are tons of diets out there. I think any diet that you can eat it all, would be PORTION CONTROL ! I would recommend staying away from junk foods totally, and if you need a fix of chips or something, just take a small amount. They say if your craving sweets, like chocolate, to eat Dark Chocolate, it has less sugar. Drink lots of water, or water with lemon or Crystal Lite, that will taste like sugar but will fix any sugar cravings without sugar. I think the hardest thing would be is getting over the hump. And of course you have many obsticals after the hump.

My husband is the same weight as you, I dont see him attractive at all anymore. I have sat down and told him how I feel, but he cant seem to be in controll over his weight. He drinks alot of beer after work, and then he will sneak snacks at night. I try not to buy them, but I entertain alot and always have young children over, and love to bribe them with a treat. I have also told him to loose the weight for his health. Also for the children, he is unable to play with children or even get up from his chair, he is lazy, and its a struggle for him to do anything. !!!!!!! He is also a financial advisor who meets with alot of people who have alot of money, and I think for him being over weight makes him look like he doesnt care about himself, so if you don't care about yourself, why should you care about others ???

My friend just lost 21 lbs in 1 month by just eating right ! She gets the B-12 shot in the rear for extra boost of energy once a week. She counts her calories, fat, carbs and only eats what the doctor said to eat. She can eat anything she wants, but portion control, so many carbs, soo many fat grams, soo many calories,

This will be a life long habit. Maybe you can get some doctor help. It cost her like $300 but they took some body fat test, some muscles tests, a sychelogical test, and a light depresant pill that has curves your appitite. This doctor thats she's seeing hopes to never see's his patients again. For a couple of hours of evaluation and motivation, and some pills to get you through the hump, and some B-12 shot for a boost of energy was well worth it for her.

I wish you the best of luck !

Help, my horse is lame, any advice on how to make her more comfortable?

I found her seriously lame in her hind left foot this morning when i went out to feed the gang. She wouldn't attempt to walk to the stable for breakfast.

She was totally fine when they had supper yesterday evening.

I called my vet out straight away, he thought there could be a few possibilities, the worst case scenario - a break, an abcess in her hoof, (he has pared away where he thought there may have been an abcess, but so far has gone quite deep, and not found any pus) or tendon damage.

My vet is coming out tomorrow to assess how things are progressing.

I have hot tubbed her foot with lots of salt in the water for 10/15 mins at a time every couple of hours.

She has had anti infamatory/pain killing injection at 11am.

She is in the stable on a deep bed of shavings, with water and hay close by so she doesn't have to hobble to far.

Is there anything else anyone can suggest to help make her more comfortable? I hate to see her in pain, it's breaking my heart.Help, my horse is lame, any advice on how to make her more comfortable?
I think you have done everything you possibly can for now. I do hope it is nothing serious. It's a pity that not all horse owners are like you, I work for a horse rescue centre and have seen some awful cases. Very best of luck xxHelp, my horse is lame, any advice on how to make her more comfortable?
Thanks for picking me as your favourite. I work for the Blue Cross Equine Rehab Centre in the Midlands. Good for you rehoming and caring for a rescue horse. I really wish you all the very best in the future and will keep my fingers crossed for Molly to make a full recovery xx

I would almost say that she does have a abscess! A sudden abscess that produces immediate lameness is actually a fast healing one with my experience. Even though a vet can help find a abscess it still isn't there field and your farrier would be better at it. I would not hesitate to give him a call. Press around her coronary band for any type of soreness. Did he use hooftesters on her? That right there would have told you if it was in the hoof or not. I would almost look for this to pop out at the coronary band. Look for any wetness or a very small slit or sloughing away that will show signs of it coming out. This is what I would do to make her more comfortable. Personally I never soak! I find it to be just as effective to wrap them then soak and then wrap them. I have treated 100's abscesses. Very common in TB's! If you want to do this, I would get a large baby diaper, furacin, vetwrap, and duct tape. If she is 3 legged lame and in the stall, don't worry about the duct tape unless she was going out. Saran wrap is also what I use. Take the saran wrap and glob the furacin all over the bottome of the hoof and all around the coronary band. The saran wrap is to keep the furacin on the hoof and not letting it absorb into the diaper. Put on the diaper and use the vet wrap to wrap compleately around the diaper. This keeps the diaper on and forms it to the hoof. Do not apply the vetwrap tight around the coronary band but it does not matter around the hoof. This will help moisten the areas and allow tha abscess to come thru. This is my method and it has never failed me. As for pain relief, your vet probably gave her banamine. If he didn't leave you banamine or bute then there is nothing else to do for her later. Good luck! I hope its a abscess caus eits a easy fix.
you,ve done all you can bless you.
try to set her foot in cow manure that help draw out some pain it helped a horse owned by the amish guys
The only thing I was going to suggest you've already done: the anti-inflammatory medicine. I would say you've got everything covered...time will tell. Sorry she's in trouble, and hope she recovers quickly.
Ok. You have done really really well!!!!!! Congrats. Yet there is always a rather dim side to every stroy. Try to stay with her as much as possible. As horses are herd animals they cope with families. If assistance for her getting around try to push her a little each day. You know just a step or two then reward her. By the time you get the vet recomended excercixe she will be strong enough to take over any task!!!!!!! I really hope I helped you and your horse!
Keep on talking gently to her. TLC works with horses too.
I dont know anything about horses but most animals respond to love and you seem to be doing everything you can

I would just stroke her and talk to her

i hope she gets better soon

    :)
It sounds like your doing everything by the book. Is there any heat in her hoof area or her leg? Or swelling? Did she cast her self last night in her stall? Is she in box stall or pipe? She could have kicked the bars and hit them just right, or got legs stuck between the bars and thrashed around a bit. Keep her stall bedded down good and give her bute as needed for pain. One little thing to file in your brain file, Use heat to draw something out (abcess or infection) and cold to reduce swelling. Sometimes you need to alternate both of these, 20 minutes cold, then 20 minutes off, 20 minutes heat, 2o minutes off. If you should ever need a medicine for open injuries of ANY type, I highly recommend this product I get from Oklahoma, Underwood Horse Medicine. It's the easiest medicine you'll ever use for any animal. You don't have to wash, wrap, soak anytime while using it. You just shake it up spray it on, then shake Baking Powder, the red can (not baking soda, the yellow box) on top of the spray and thats it. The stuff is amazing, an old family recipe and now it's available to the public. Make sure you tell them Ellen from Norco, CA sent you to them.

Good luck with your horse, hopes she feels better
hi, i am very sorry to hear your horse has gone lame. You and your vet are doing a really good job possible so dont worry. Just do exactually what you are doing and she will be fine in no time. Loads of horses go lame and vets are very good at finding the problem out, if you have ever sprained your ancle. It really hurts but we just have to rest it and that is what your horse is doing.
You've done all the right things, continue to do them and make sure the vet gives you enough Banamine to get her through. Try not to worry too much, you've done what you can and think positively. If she likes brushing or scratching a certain spot do that as much as you can. Good luck %26amp; I know how you feel!
You cannot do anything until the vet has assessed her properly, otherwise you may cause more harm than good. Horses legs are very complicated things so just wait and see what your vet says tomorrow before doing anything
Ive had three horses touch wood only small probs, slightly damaged frog etc. She's in tonight, rugged and in a clean stable.......Thats all you can do, leave the rest up to the vet.

Hope she's OK.....Let us know. ps I once slept in a sleeping bag in the same stable as a two year old Irish Draught X Clysedale that helped....dangerous though!
I think you've just about got it all covered for the time being.

Let the vet do his job.,

Good luck with everything and let us know how she goes on.
Its hard to see them in pain isn't it.

Unfortunately, theres really not alot more you can do than you have been doing. You don't want to give too much pain meds and then have the horse feeling all better and doing worse damage.

Hang in there, hopefully a good prognosis tomorrow.

    Did the vet do xrays??
wow thats not good!you should probably turn her out in a sucluded in door padock.give her exter food and hay
    you have done everything possible

she is warm dry and as comfy as you can make her

good luck in the morning with the vet
sounds like you have done all you can do for now. Keep her in deep bedding, keep her penned up and out of any excitement. Hope all goes well.

I am thinking of getting a Mini Shorthaired Dachshund. Can anyone give me some advice as to their personality?

Also their good points and bad points.

I have never owned a dog before but am aware of the committment involved in pet ownership.I am thinking of getting a Mini Shorthaired Dachshund. Can anyone give me some advice as to their personality?
Dachshunds are great little dogs, I have three of them. They love to burrow in the covers on the bed and are good at jumping up on the furniture. They can be demanding, as they are definite ';Lap Dogs';. You are not suppose to let them jump cause they have a tendency to have back problems, but try to keep them from jumping into your lap.....They will ';sit Pretty'; to beg for food. Our spoiled rotten ';baby'; ended up having $3000 worth of surgery on her back for a ruptured disc, and her being over weight did not help it any. Yet out other two have had no problem....They are also diggers...that is what they were bred to do...but if you get one, they will shower you with love and companionship.I am thinking of getting a Mini Shorthaired Dachshund. Can anyone give me some advice as to their personality?
Dachshunds are a very clownish breed and can be very mischievous at times. A very intuitive dog, the Dachshund is now most commonly seen as a companion rather than a hunter. This breed loves to be around people and should never exhibit signs of aggression or timidity. The Dachshund is an all around friendly dog, is very outgoing, and is sure to steal the hearts of everyone he meets.

Temperament: The Dachshund is a fun loving dog, tenacious, and lively, but can become jealous and. This breed does very well with smaller children, and can do even better with older and more considerate children. Due to their small size and tiny legs, this breed should not be placed in a home with larger dogs unless they were raised around each other. They love toys and are very playful at times.

    Hope this helps.
They are great dogs! My neighbor has one, and they have a lot of energy and love attention. Very affectionate and loyal.
I have two ';hot dogs'; and one is active 24/7. If she could play fetch every second of the day she would. And my other one is a little overweight and a cuddler. I think they are great dogs but they need love and attention. I do know some that are aggressive but its the owners fault for keeping them in the house without other dog interaction but my dogs get along fine with other dogs. Hope this helps :)

Can you give me some Christian advice about Depression about Anger and about Anxiety?

Thanks in advance. Can you give me some Christian advice about Depression about Anger and about Anxiety?
Whatever you are going through, God loves you more than you can love yourself. Communicate more with God and you will realize these. How, just tell what you feel and what is on your mind. Prayer usually starts from where you are and God will meet you there. Just open up to Him and receive Him in your life. Can you give me some Christian advice about Depression about Anger and about Anxiety?
Don't worry anything, but pray and give your anxieties, depression, and anger to God. Expect the Lord to work things out for your good

Think about what's good, true, honest, lovely, and praiseworthy. Remember God's blessings, wonders, and judgements.

Put away bitterness, anger and wrath, and don't let the day end with these attitudes in your heart. Forgive.

Praise God regularly and often. Find something to laugh about.

    Hey there,

You'd have to be more specific! Each of these are separate kinds of disorders, and while they can overlap may be treated differently. If you are having a personal issue, try and see a psychologist who will be able to do a clinical interview with you to see if you have any of these as clinical symptoms (just feeling low wouldn't neccesarily be clinical depression).

From a Christian perspective, Jesus had lot's to say about loving people, putting others first, not worrying and trusting God...
Help others. Depressed people are dwelling too much on self not othesr.

Also, exercise more. Try to get at least 1 hour a day and stay clear of caffeine and processed sugar.

Try watching what you put in your mind. Avoid depressing music, film, books etc.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, He would never put more on you then you can bear. Pray without ceasing too, God knows what you are going through just keep the faith and never doubt God`s love.

  • I am very shy and need advice for ways to change?

This problem has begun to affect my social life i am a high school student 17 years old male and have had this problem all my life but it has recently gotten worse i have difficulty talking even with my closest friends. School is a bigger problem i do my best to keep a calm face as if there is no problem but every day i feel more and more alone i hang around no one. I have been in dating relationships before but now it has become impossible for me to even Communicate with someone. need help.I am very shy and need advice for ways to change?
A good way to make yourself not shy is by trying to hang out with your friends more often that way you can have more stimulating conversations with them. You could talk to a good friend that you trust, who won't blab about your problems to other friends. You can try taking self-defense lessons because my younger brother has this problem as well, and after he took Karate lessons he's becoming more confident and active (as well as more annoying to me) but don't mind my problems. ^.^ You may just have a low self esteem, so you may want to talk to a guidance counselor and your parent(s) or guardian(s). If you feel your situation is worsening it is best to get a therapist. I am very shy and need advice for ways to change?
as a freshman that has 4 yrs. to experience high school in a new area where i dont know anyone, i can somehow relate.

-you dont need to talk a whole lot to become social. small talking is good, too. no matter how small the talk, its all good, as long as you keep talking.

-be open a bit more online. say hi to a friend when im-ing them. YOU be the one to start the conversation. chances are, youll have a great discussion and that person will approach you the next day.

-be optimistic and confident about yourself. when people look at you and see that, youll seem more approachable.

I HOPE I HELPED, AND YOU HAVE A FUN SENIOR YEAR! (if/when your a senior!)
It sounds like you need someone close to you to talk to. Can you talk to one of your parents or other relatives? Or to a counselor, maybe at school?

As far as I know there is no easy cure for shyness, but for most people it gets easier as they get older. You have to try to be more outgoing, take risks, build on your successes. It would help to have someone who knows you who you can talk to. The more you cut yourself off from people, the worse it will be. Perhaps there is one friend you can try to communicate with more, or an interest you could follow and meet other people who like doing the same things.

The teen years are often a difficult time for being shy and self conscious.

Getting ready for prom and needing advice?

I am currently helping my oldest get ready for prom. Since I never went to one, Im feeling like I might be leaving something out of the preparation here. Like I know she needs tickets, dress, shoes, accesories, they have the limo lined up. Im wondering, is it tradition for her to buy her date a guy version of a corsage for the tux? How much and when does she tip the limo driver? What am i not even thinking of in the way of etiquette and tradition and practical matters here? Thanks for any advice.Getting ready for prom and needing advice?
What a whole load of CRAP! What about those who can't even afford a dress? No one cares about those people.

She could get him a boutonni猫re. This is a single flower, such as a mini-carnation or a small rose bud, with a little bit of greenery and floral tape, to be pinned into a button hole on his lapel.

Many with ADD respond well to caffeine.

See if drinking coffee correlates with doing better.

I want to start Residential Real Estate Career in So Cal on a team. Advice please?

I am not licensed yet, in the exploratory stage to be sure the options I am seeking are available. I am interested in becoming licensed, on my own or through a brokerage program and joining a team as a licensed assistant such as buyers assistant. Looking to work in Mid West LA (Hancock Park/Larchmont) or South Bay area as primary markets. I need specifics on how to find teams that may be hiring and finding entry level opportunities in residential sales. I am not in a financial position to start as an agent and I respect that this is a career with a pretty good learning curve so I would really like to get started with a good team and learn the ropes.

Thanks! MichelleI want to start Residential Real Estate Career in So Cal on a team. Advice please?
Real estate is a hard industry especially in Cali. I don't mean to burst your bubble but.......Last year there were over 500,000 real estate agents in CA, last year there were only 490,000 homes sold in all of CA, looks like allot of real estate agents didn't make any money. Just some food for thought.

Good luck.I want to start Residential Real Estate Career in So Cal on a team. Advice please?
Thanks for the thought Ben. Are you in real estate? If so, I hope you are one of the ones making a living at it.

Think Hot tub blew a fuse - advice for a hot tub amateur?

We got our hot tub all cleaned up and ready when we moved in, everything was working fine, then i turned the temp up all the way, and it shut off. now theres no response. I am sure it's just a blown fuse, but i can't find the fuse box. we have checked all the breakers, and they're fine. any advice?Think Hot tub blew a fuse - advice for a hot tub amateur?
Simple. Turn breaker to hot tub off! Next remove cabinet under main topside control. Open spa box. Look for green SC-30 or possibly SC-25 fuse. Take out and go to Home depot or lowe's and get a new one or ones (if there's two). Replace fuse and then flip breaker back on and see if it powers up. I bet it does. Now, unlike the other response...I just saved you 156.50 if I had to have come out and done just that. (But of course I have dozens of fuses since this is the most common repair). Put spa pack screws pack in and then cabinet back on.Think Hot tub blew a fuse - advice for a hot tub amateur?
Call a hot tub service man. Since you can't find the fuse, it may be a fuse link on the PCB that is nearly impossible to describe for an amateur.

  • What are your thoughts about this advice?

Two years ago when i graduated high school i was in USMC JROTC and my Senior Marine instructor told me that ..

The military is not for everyone, College is not for everyone, but everyone is expected to work.

what is your take on what he said? what are your thoughts about it? is this advice he told me true? What are your thoughts about this advice?
I think he was being honest with you. The military is not the same as it once was and it is not for everyone. In this day and age of information technology getting a general discharge is not a good thing and is easy for employers to find out about. Not only that but the service used to try and find a place for you to fit in but doing less with more, the high ops tempo, along with the difference in generations that we now have it is not the place to be if you don't like it or can't stay out of trouble.

At the same time you will probably have to work unless you come from a family with money, win the lottery, or marry money. You know your economic situation better than me but if you don't come from a family with money what are the odds of marrying it or winning the lottery. As for college there are many jobs that don't require college but do require involment in going to school and getting into some kind of a skilled trade that you can make a halfway decent living in. Some people go to college for the wrong reasons or don't finish it and end up owing a lot in loans and grants these days. They then drop out and do something else but the bill for their schooling still remains to be paid. Some of that can be avoided is what he is also saying to you and that you need to consider your choices carefully and try to make the best one for you especially since it is you that will have to ultimately live with the outcome from it.What are your thoughts about this advice?
It seems like a very bright and non judgmental piece of advice. And, he's right. It sounds like he believes you are squared away and know yourself well and are capable of making the right individual decision for you.

Good advice. Sounds like a good guy.
Of course its true, a simple and sad fact of life... So do one or the other or both and hope for a career you love... Good luck... :)
    YES ,

smart person who does not seem to pressure people into the military.
    Keep your mind open.
    Yea, that's true.
Hard to know exactly what he meant without really understanding the context when he said it. But yes, every nations success and economy depends on productivity. And productivity is derived from people working and pulling their own weight. We work to produce the goods and services other people make and offer. We can buy them because we earn money producing goods and services. A win - win situation. It's what keeps an economy afloat. People who don't work and strive to improve their lives are just an anchor. How we choose to earn a living is as vast and as full of opportunity as we want it to be.

Preferred English Equestrian Magazine? Any book advice for studying hunter jumper conformation?

I've recently shifted my focus from Western to English and more specifically, hunter-jumpers. I would like to find some books or articles focused on the physical traits a horse must possess to be considered a good prospect.

I'm not looking to buy a horse, just to educate myself.Preferred English Equestrian Magazine? Any book advice for studying hunter jumper conformation?
Can you get a subscription to the Horse and Hound magazine? If not, you can view on line:

    http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/

This is a weekly publication which covers all aspects of horse sport, except Western. There are often articles on what makes the perfect jumper or dressage horse, and a low down on breeding and different horse breeds. There is also a forum you can either browse or join. I've used it when I've been looking for recommendations for stallions to suit one of my mares, but you can use the search facility for whatever you are interested in.

This Warmblood is bred in a very similar way to my WB mare and filly, though my mare is a Dressage type and my filly will make a super Show Jumper, not a Working Hunter, which is what we call them here in the UK:

    http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl鈥?/a>

I'd look at horses with a high percentage of TB blood. Breeds come and go with fashions and such like, at the moment the continental Warmbloods are very popular but they come in many shapes and types, personal preference. Irish Sport horses are always popular Hunters, as are large-boned Thoroughbreds. A drop of cold blood is always good for a Hunter. Cleveland Bays make fantastic hunters, especially when crossed with a TB.

Over all, a Hunter needs a good sloping shoulder, a great ';backside'; and good bone - 9'; or so, a ';good length of rein, not a short fat neck, which is set well on the shoulder. Depth of girth and a good chest are also important. His back shouldn't be too short, or too long. Strong feet and short canon bones, with short, well shaped pasterns -too long and you are heading for injury. He also needs a strong, well shaped hock. He should be ';hansom, not pretty';. If this link works, it shows my ideal type for this job:

    http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl鈥?/a>

I hope you find these links of some use. The rest is just my opinion, based on my experiences.

Good luck and have fun with your education :D

Preferred English Equestrian Magazine? Any book advice for studying hunter jumper conformation?
Practical Horseman has a section devoted to conformation in each issue...get the english version, since it has both western and english publications. Equus magazine is great, and covers a wide variety of subjects including the latest research and findings in the horse world. I recommend subscribing to both.
    BOOKS:

Hunt Seat Equitation by George H. Morris

The American Jumping Style by George H. Morris

Complete Horse Riding Manual by William Micklem(this was the first book I ever got-horse wise-and to this day I use it frequently, above all this is a must.)

Also a Vet book is essential to any horse enthusiast! I have the one Equine Veterinary Medicine by Barb Crabb

Also even though you are interested in Hunter/Jumper (I do Hunters) It is very important to learn all you can about Dressage(basic Dressage anyway, so you can improve your flat. You will only be in flight for half a second and the horse takes care fo that part. Its your job to set him up properly for that and that is during the flat work. That said I suggest-)

books: i would go with any george morris book for hunters too...

i ALMOST got to train with him, but i didnt have a horse at the time...*sigh*
I've always enjoyed ';Horses';, the show horse magazine with LOTS of pictures.

There's another coffee table type book called ';The Enclycopedia of the Horse'; which is a LARGE coffee table type book.
I think Equus is the best overall horse magazine out there. It does not only cover English, or H/J, but focuses on the horse.

Practical Horseman is also a good magazine, but I prefer Equus.
My favorite magazine for riding is ';Practical Horsman'; (although this month focuses on dressage.

A great book on riding is ';Hunter Seat Equitation'; by George Morris. It's a classic.

Am a youth ,i need ur advice on how i can choose a life partner?

I mean i have been dating but guys cheat on me ,how will i know the person that love me and how can i choose my life partner without any mistake .

Is it the right thing for a lady to allow a guy to have sex with her before they wedded together .

As a single what are those things I shouldn't do so that a guy will not guilt me .

Thank you. Am a youth ,i need ur advice on how i can choose a life partner?
It is important to find someone with whom you can create a good relationship from the outset... Sexual attraction blinds you to the thousands of little things by which relationships eventually survive or fail... You need to find a way to see beyond this initial overwhelming physical fascination...Truly fortunate partners manage to become longtime friends before they realize they are attracted to each other... They get to know each other鈥檚 laughs, passions, sadnesses, and fears... They see each other at their worst and at their best.... They share time together before they get swept up into the entangling intimacy of their sexuality.

Help my friend keeps asking for advice for a career option ?

she is seventeen and doesn't know what career to choose, i told her to find out what makes her happy and to go for that except she doesn't know what makes her happy and she told me she wont go to uni/college. i keep giving her advice but she keeps knocking it down.

what should i do?Help my friend keeps asking for advice for a career option ?
let her find her own road! 17 is quite big now and she is totally has wings. but when u let her finds job, just be a good friend and spy on her

to make sure that she doesnt pick a wrong(illegal) job!

good luckHelp my friend keeps asking for advice for a career option ?
She sounds like most 17 year-olds. She keeps asking you because she is hoping you will point her in the right direction.

-She could go to college for a basic degree. A lot of jobs would like employees to have a degree, or at least be enrolled in college, even if it is 1 class at a time.

-She could get a job. Test out the work force, see if she discovers something she would like to do. She is going to figure out a lot of jobs she won't want to do, but might be able to find a few she would like. That will also get her job experience.

It could take her years to figure out what she wants to do. No one says you have to pick your career at 17.

I know at 17 I had no clue. Many years and jobs later, still have no clue. But I know what I DON'T want to do!

    Good Luck!
She probably needs some time to think about it..! tell her you cant help her if she doesn't even have a vague idea of what she would be interested in doing in the future...

why wont she go to college/uni?

maybe it would be a good idea for her to be doing her GCSE's/A levels if she hasn't got any.and be thinking about career choices while shes doing them?
She doesn't need your advise. She needs to grow up and figure out her future on her own.

  • I want to start Residential Real Estate Career in So Cal on a team.

What are your thoughts about this advice?

Morris

(All books by-) William C. Steinkraus and Bertlan de' Nemethy

Breaking Bad Habits in Horses by Jo Bird

There are no problem horses, only problem riders by Mary Twelveponies

Tell her McDonald's is always hiring for people who don;t know what they want to do in life

Is anyone else sick of the pre teens asking for relationship advice? or am i an *** hole?

Is anyone else in favor of like a ';Teens Answers'; for like 14 and under? Is anyone else sick of the pre teens asking for relationship advice? or am i an *** hole?
Yes but more annoying are the questions about Yahoo Answers.

All they have to do is read the rules and the community guidelines but over and over are the postings ';How Do I get to level 2'; ';How do I ask a Question';Is anyone else sick of the pre teens asking for relationship advice? or am i an *** hole?
I wouldn't mind them asking for advice if they would just take the time to make sure they are asking their questions in the right category for that kind of thing. Then those of us that would rather not deal with teen angst could just stay away from there. As it is now, they pop up EVERYWHERE, and I do find it very annoying.

I would agree with you about the ';Teens Answers'; kind of thing, but there is already a specific category (actually more than 1) for advice about relationships and they don't use always use it so I have no reason to think they would use the Teen Answer thing any more often than they do now. I guess we just have to keep reminding ourselves that once upon a time we went through the same things.
    Nah, i love it

Its a great way for them to get advice. its like being a big sister, i always help them out. Its little pathetic stuff but it matters to them:)

Its not stuff that us older people HAVE to read, i skip it when i cant be bothered but it is nice for them to have some support.
    oh yes, goodness yes. I wish this site has an enforced age restriction. Its so irritating...what with their, ';oh, he smiled at me, does he like me??';

or, ';im 12...i want a bf'; ....or, ';why doesnt she she ask me out coz we txted each other last night';....gees.....its so irritating....it has got to stop like NOW.

And whats worse, is that there's kids (gees, never thought i'd use that term!!) are getting more and more perverse...12yr olds having sex and worrying about STDs and all...its so sad, but annoying!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good question!!!
    I think its hilarious

although im one of those 15 y/o who find ';relationshipd'; at our age ridiculous and pointless not to mention STUPID

haha but yes, i do find a large amount of joy reading them i just get a kick out of kids theses days

like im any better than them

I'm 14 and want to be a heart surgeon. Can anyone give me some good learning websites and any advice?

Any good websites to help me learn more about what i need to know and any advice to help me kickstart my medical career would be so great! i know i'm only young but why not start learning now? my school is rural australian and hopeless! We don't learn anything so i'm learning myself.

thanks guys!I'm 14 and want to be a heart surgeon. Can anyone give me some good learning websites and any advice?
Be patient. If you want to be a surgeon you need straight A's in school starting NOW. Take every course offered to prepare for College. Be well rounded. That means join several clubs or go out for a sport. Big Colleges want well rounded students, not just geeks. Try Boy Scouts. In a few years you will be able to take part in their Ranger Scout program (used to be called Explores) and there may be a group that explores careers in the medical fields. At 17 get an EMT class. This is a good introduction to medicine. At 18 you can take a Paramedic course and learn ACLF. But even now you can take a CPR course (most Scout groups do). Become a CPR instructor. Call The American Heart Association for information on CPR courses. In case you don't already know, BLS is Basic Life Support, CPR is Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, go for an A card. Used to be called ';mouth to mouth resuscitation';.

You can also try the Local Hospitol. They may have a voluteer program. In the US it's volunteers are called Candy Stripers. After the striped uniform they wear. At 14 there is not a lot you can do, but yes you can always start learning now. Get a good grip on Biology and Anatomoy.I'm 14 and want to be a heart surgeon. Can anyone give me some good learning websites and any advice?
How about sitting in the galley during an actual heart surgery at the local hospital.

Some hospitals have them, some don't.

Go into the phone book and look up cardiologist.

Offer to take one to lunch, these people have to eat, AND they can give you the inside scoop about exactly what you are getting yourself into.

What is your best advice for dealing with unreasonable & demanding clients?

Dropping them is not an option, although I would like it to be. Requesting to be moved from this contract with the client is also not an option with my boss. It is more stress than it is worth but right now I just need some serious answers. THANK YOU!!!

(P.S. There should be a ';work'; category in yahoo answers under people's respective fields. Hey, we all get by with a little help from our friends!!)What is your best advice for dealing with unreasonable %26amp; demanding clients?
Adress the demands by priority. State that is how you will be handling their issues in order to ';serve them best';.

I suggest writing down the demands and speak with them about each until the order in which they will be handled is agreed upon. This lets them know you are focusing on their issues and not leaving anything out which in turn will make them calmer clients. What is your best advice for dealing with unreasonable %26amp; demanding clients?
Put yourself in their place and try and see how they are comprehending the way you are handling their project. It may just plain misunderstanding of how you are accomplishing things.
You are being paid for a job.

You do your best and explain the rest.

    Do not retaliate, ever.

    This will eventually end.
You have to have a company policy for your buisness-Number 1-Next what type of buisness is it please and I think people can answer you better.

What is the best advice you can give the partner of someone newly diagnosed with Bipolar?

Do not get angry at outbursts or other aspects of the disorder that arise. Tolerance is very hard to hold, but it is the best key in helping to staunch the whole problem altogether (which is more than possible!)What is the best advice you can give the partner of someone newly diagnosed with Bipolar?
Learn all you can about the condition as you are now that person's contact with reality for those times when the normal side of their life is disrupted. Understand that there will be times when they simply cannot control their thoughts or actions and do not hold them accountable. Most of all, love that person and make them know that you are by their side as they struggle through that which those of us who are not affected by the condition, can't begin to imagine. My wife was diagnosed as bi-polar in 1984. She is stable the great majority of the time and I do all I can do to make sure that she isn't stressed as that seems to trigger her condition. What is the best advice you can give the partner of someone newly diagnosed with Bipolar?
Understand the disorder, then ignore it, and understand the person. There will be peaks and valleys. It will require understanding and patience like any relationship (maybe just a little more than seems fair).

The best suggestion is to have both write a ';feelings journal.'; I know, it sounds pathetic, but it is really helpful in keeping each other in tune with both of their feelings. And make sure the partner is involved in their therapy plans.
you will need to do research for yourself because it won't be easy for you if you have a partner who suffers from Bipolar..

all I know.. when they are in the manic phase keep them away from loud noises because they are already too hyper then.. they don't need more.. they need calm surroundings.. and they can hurt themselves...because in the manic phase they think they can do anything.... walk across streets when the lights are red... take unreasonable risks... and in the depressive phase.. it's hard also.. so yes get informed and encourage.. and just be there for your partner... Good luck to both of you xx

    http://www.excite.co.uk/directory/Health鈥?/a>
    Hope this helps.

    http://rcpsych.ac.uk/mentalhealthinforma鈥?/a>

In general, for any mental illness- as a carer you can be supportive not patronising. The choice lies with the patient but you can be there and help them make informed choices. You will have incraesed needs too as a carer. Be aware of that that not having illness doesnot mean that you dont need support.

    Good luck.
i was diagnosed with it in 3rd grade i have to say that i would have needed someone to tell me not to get drunk because if angered when drunk its like blowing up a bomb next to a gasoline truck i was that way once and i wasn't half as drunk as i thought i was because when i tried stabbing my self i barely put a hole in me but it ripped my shirt and that got me angrier and i didn't cool down till i sobered up but i did scare my friends
create a peaceful environment and be open-minded. make sure that you don't trigger any situation(s) that can snap your partner in doing something that he/she cannot control.

show more care and affection and get more informative medication on this.
I would say stress less. People make out bipolar to be a really huge thing but it's actually quite manageable. There's just a lot of stigma when it comes to mental health.
be patient if you love them and ask questions and do research.

Do you find it annoying when Y!A gives all this unsolicited advice on spelling and punctuation?

When you try to post a question or answer, I mean. I *know* when I have a lot of punctuation, for example, and I usually have a reason for it. And just because a word doesn't exist in the spellchecker's tiny l'il brain doesn't mean it's a misspelling.Do you find it annoying when Y!A gives all this unsolicited advice on spelling and punctuation?
I just ignore the box entirely. I rarely make spelling errors so that doesn't bother me. Even on the occasions that I use ';a lot'; of punctuation, I simply don't pay attention to the box. I don't even bother to X out of it because it's silly.

I also disagree that the spelling checker has a ';tiny l'il brain'; just because it doesn't recognize a word you typed. When the proofer doesn't understand everything you enter, it is not a sign that the service is inadequate or worth writing off entirely.

I implore you to keep a more open mind and not judge so quickly.Do you find it annoying when Y!A gives all this unsolicited advice on spelling and punctuation?
From the way alot of posters send out a question, I wish more would use the spell-check. There are quite a bit of questions that look like they are written in code! Anyway..I need spell-check..very bad at spelling mot of the time. But you are correct, sometimes it doesn't KNOW the word..I just ignore it. And I do use a lot of punctuation for effect. I just ignore that too!

So, in effect, i use what I need and ignore the rest!
Yeah, that's kind of annoying. the spell checker is really dumb. alot of words doesn't exist on the spell check thing.

like when you type ';alot'; the spell check makes a suggestion that the word is ';alto'; or something like that o_o
Not as much as getting emails saying that you've violated something with a question that you answered. That irks me because it's people on here who post/ask racist comments and they still stay up here, but I call them stupid or something and I get an email? WTF!?!
The punctuation and the Did you leave your caps lock on? ones do annoy me, but I find the spelling a great help most of the time.
Eye dew knot sea caws four all arm

Now, the nutty thing about this is that I never got a spelling error notice.
So irritating! IT HATES CAPS TOO
why are you letting it get to you? it's just yahoo answers.

I just bought a 13 week old minerature poodle and i want to make sure i do everything right. Can anyone give me advice on maintaining a healthy and happy minerature poodle?
Ah! What an adorable little pet you have. Our family has had poodles for the past 30 or so years and they have enjoyed long healthy lives. Remember your little one is a baby, make sure things are picked up so he/she doesn't chew on anything that would be harmful. Give her plenty of affection, her own toys to play with and be gentle when you have to discipline her. Poodles are very smart and you don't have to get very stern with them to teach them things. Reward her well everytime she does something good so she learns what you like. Make sure and take her to the vet when you need to and ask the vet about her diet and what is best. Good Luck! Can anyone give me advice on maintaining a healthy and happy minerature poodle?

yea, feed it, water it, give it lots of attention, walk it, maybe go to one of those dog play date things at Petsmart. just have fun with it and it'll have fun with you. Walk it a lot. and really, keep it well groomed. I notice poodles prance more when they come back from a grooming. No kidding.

Can someone give me advice on how to write a book?

I dont know what to do or where to start. Ihave a story inside me, how do i write a book? How do I get it published if I figure out how to write it? Serious step by step help please! Can someone give me advice on how to write a book?
Start by deciding who your main characters are. Learn as much about them as you can (there are tons of character worksheets out there, if you google for them). Give them names and backgrounds. Make them well-rounded.

Then I would work on an outline of your story. I don't tend to have very detailed outlines when I begin (I have a one or two page plot synopsis, though), but for many writers they benefit immensely from doing a thorough outline first. It really depends on how your brain works, but give it a shot and see if it helps!

I would recommend reading as many books as possible in memoirs, as well as other genres that you like to write, plus books about the craft of writing. When you are reading memoirs and fiction books, pay attention to how the authors structure their work.

Here are some of my favorites about writing (your local library should have most of them):

    1) ';Writing Down The Bones'; by Natalie Goldberg

    2) ';Bird by Bird'; by Anne Lamott

    3) ';On Writing Well'; by William Zinsser

    4) ';How to Write Science Fiction %26amp; Fantasy'; by Orson Scott Card

    5) ';On Writing'; by Stephen King

    6) ';No Plot? No Problem!'; by Chris Baty

    7) ';Eats, Shoots, and Leaves'; by Lynne Truss

    8) ';The Elements of Style'; by Strunk and White

Also, take a look at a few websites where authors gather. Some of them have very helpful articles and forums. Holly Lisle has a fantastic website that has articles on both the business and writing aspects:

Write every single day. Set a target for yourself. For instance, my goal right now is to write 1,000 words a day. I get this done before I go on the internet, read, watch TV, or goof around. To begin, maybe set an easier goal for yourself-- try 250 words each day. Write in a journal as well, if you feel so inclined!

When you get ideas, find a way to record them as well. I have a spiral notebook that I keep just for that purpose. This way, when I want to begin a new project I can read through my notes and find just the right idea!

Also, never forget how important it is to edit and rewrite! When you finish a short story or novel, I suggest setting it aside for a month. Don't look at it or think about it (if you can help it). Work on another project. Once that time has passed, go back and read what you wrote. Try to be objective-- are there parts that need to be expanded? Cut out? Rewritten? How is the grammar and spelling? Editing could (and should) take more time than the original draft!

And keep practicing! Can someone give me advice on how to write a book?
First you need to write down your ideas, it does not need to be the full blown out story, more like an outline. Do research on the time period, social customs, stuff like that if it is not set in your home town. Then start writing, set aside at least an hour a day for writing, even if you've hit a wall just keep going. Once you have finished that proofread several times and change things that you don't think work. Write and rewrite and then rewrite again. I don't know how you get published because I have only had poetry published. Good Luck and God Bless!!
I have to agree with the other respondants. You really need to just focus on getting it on paper (so to speak). I would just write. Set aside a time each day, or whatever, and write a portion at a time. I would suggest trying to avoid editing or going back over you writing until you have done quite a bit. I only say this because you can edit your writing to death and never get it done.

Something else that I found that helps get the book out of my head before I forget anything is to write little notes on 3x5 cards. This is a much quicker way to get it out then writing when I just have to get out a sudden lightbulb of an idea. I get different colors. That way, I can write certain strings within my book on certain colored cards. (What the heroin does/sees on green, what her love interest does/sees on yellow, etc.) I especially like this because, you can easily go through your cards quickly and rearrange them if a particular scene later seems to work better in a different part of the book.

This is where I suggest you start. Wait to look for a publisher until later.
Seriously, don't worry about publishing a book you have not yet written. And seriously all books are written the same way--one sentence at a time.

Yes, I know that sounds flippant but your questions are focused so much on the end results. You say you have a book inside? Then write it. One page at a time. One paragraph at a time. One sentence at a time. One word at a time.

Once you have a finished first draft, you can begin the work of editing and revising it. Then you can have a person read it who can help you critique it, preferably someone who is a writer themselves. Then revise the manuscript again. Then have a friend or two read it and have them make suggestions. Tweak your manuscript one more time. Maybe two more times.

Do all of this and then ask about publishing. Until then, you have nothing to publish ergo you have no reason to worry about how to get it published.

Write. Write. Enjoy the process. Write more. And when you have a book (a product), then you worry about the rest.
Start by taking a paper and a pencil and make a plan of the structure of your story... then use your imagination for the details
