What advice can you give me in becoming a probation officer?

Your best bet is to 1) keep your record clean! No one is going to hire you to counsel criminals if you are a criminal yourself. 2) Get your college degree, in something along the lines of criminal justice. This will give you a good understanding of the law and justice system. Also you may want to intern in that field to gain experience and make you more marketable when you do graduate from college. I hope this helps! Good luck! What advice can you give me in becoming a probation officer?
you had better get your college degree, because you'll need the education, to be able to relate to and actually help those you'll be supervising...

Keep your own record clear, because any infractions will make it harder for you to get into the system,

and you'd better be willing to make promises and keep them, because the people you supervise will hold you to your word, and do whatever they can to get one past you.
