Want to learn scrimshaw and egg shell carving does any do this and any advice ?

wanting to learn scrimshaw and egg shell carving, does anyone do this and where can i get the tools to learn this art?Want to learn scrimshaw and egg shell carving does any do this and any advice ?
If you haven't carved at all before, I think it would be easier to learn by starting with wood carving, and working your way up to scrimshaw and eggs. It would definitely be cheaper - genuine ivory is impossible to get, and you can get a block of wood down at Menard's or Lowe's for just a few dollars.





As for tools, try any craft store for hand tools. You might try a powered rotary tool like a Dremel or Ryobi too. There are a lot of different tips and bits available for these.Want to learn scrimshaw and egg shell carving does any do this and any advice ?
