So my shower is stained orange from the water.


How do I get rid of the rust and clean up my water for good?

CLR will also clean your stained shower. If you have well water a filter may help but if you are using a public source it probably will not be worth the money. I would advise that you should take a water sample to have it tested though, the test will tell you if the water needs treatment and possibly how to do so. You probably have old galvanized steel water pipes, need to replace them to get rid of the rust. No real health risks I am aware of.
we have that at our apartment...a mr. clean magic eraser does a good job of getting rid of the stain, as for cleaning up the water, you need to buy a filter for the water pump...and its not bad for you, but it doesn't taste all that wonderful...its excess iron
